Happy Birth Day!

Today is my birthday. Thank you Jesus! I have felt Your love and blessings beyond measure through the acts of family, friends, and acquaintances. My birthday always makes me think of one of my favorite scripture verses. John 10:30 states, I and the Father are one (NASB). In the New American Standard Version, it states of this verse that Jesus and the Father are in unity and of one essence. As a born again believer, 2 Corinthians 5:17 states, “… that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun” (NLT)! This means that I have been born again and not the person that I was prior to salvation hence, born into the family of God. This is such a meaningful birth.

I was already made in the image of God but now I am being shaped to be like Jesus and share in His divine nature. I have an eternal purpose and destiny. I have been set free through the Finished Work of the Cross, and free to be who Jesus made me. Jesus made it possible so that I can be one with Him, Father, and the Holy Spirit. Psalm 103:3-4 states, He forgives all your sin; He heals all your diseases. He redeems your life from the Pit…” (HCSB). I am no longer bound by sin, sickness, or death. 1 Peter 1:23 states, “for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God” (NASB). Thank you Jesus for this birth.

The last several years, has been such a journey of really growing into the understanding and revelation of what it truly means to be born again spiritually and practically. Through His Word and teaching of the Holy Spirit, I am being birthed into a greater demonstration of His Image. There is so much more and I have not even begun to exhaust where He is taking me. Jesus says that greater works then He did while on the earth is availed to me (us). I am to “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit… (Matthew 28:19 NASB). According to Matthew 10:8, I am to “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give” (NASB). I want to grow in faith to see these things happen more frequently. Galatians 5:6 states. “…but faith working through love (NASB).”

Bingo! I want to learn to love more and to love all those that God has placed around me from family, friends, acquaintances, those in this nation and the world. Be faithful to love as He is love. 1 John 4:16: “We have come to know and have believed the love which God has [a]for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him” (NASB).Let us keep learning to love and learning to live a born again life daily and we will walk in a perpetual Open Heaven— every day and all the time. Happy birth day.
